This program contains 3 areas of curriculum each designed to improve project execution and the skills of our employees. The first area delivers the 25 year old AGC Supervisory Training Program given at Red Rocks Community College. This schooling is a construction-specific training curriculum developed, updated, and field-tested by and for contractors. The program consists of 12 comprehensive courses (including two overview courses) that focus on the knowledge and skills that every supervisor must have to be an effective manager of people, time, equipment and materials. The second area is to attend Precision Industrial Contractors Methodology Courses that have been developed in house. The 8 courses focus on how PIC operates and conducts business, which include company paperwork, project organization, cost structures, change orders and others. These courses help prepare future supervision company specific methodologies. The third area is a mentoring program that is established between the candidate and a Project Manager. The mentoring is a crucial key to the development of the PIC’s future supervisor. They gain valuable in the field experience while having the full support of the organization. The STP program spans over two years with monthly guidance from the program mentors. PIC has an annual selection process for new participants. If you are interested please contact us.

Precision Employees 'Serve Time' at the Federal Corrections Institute!
Date Posted: 1/1/2007
This past winter, Precision Employees did their 'time' while working on a project for the Federal Corrections Institute in Aurora, Colorado. The project was complex. To begin with, the work involved the demolition and removal of components for the old Boiler room. The difficulty was that the old Boiler room was inside the prison, making security clearance especially cumbersome! Each day, employees had to undergo security screening to get both in and out of the facility. This amounted to 2 hours each day! Additionally, all tools had to be logged in and out every morning and night! The large rolling dumpsters that were used to remove the debris and components, were under intense scrutiny to ensure that there were not any escapees!
